I have an idea for memory limit, so far. the max Mb's for 1 Animation is 10MB, but there are unlimited animations, and i have noticed that there are many poeples with hundreds of different projects, this taking up more than 250MB, so i was thinking, there will be no porject limit at all, but a Total Project limit (all the projects added up), and i was thinking 250MB, not only would we be able to make much bigger games, it would take up on average less memory
You can also get an Memory Upgrade, For example.. 500MB for $20 and so on..
This will allow Scratch to earn more revenue and the players will also be happy as they can make big games
What about poeple with more than 250MB Already?
If there is poeple with more than 250MB already i suggest we let them keep what they have but restrict them from posting more MB's up until they have less then 250MB
All in all, i think this is a brilliant idea, i just want to see what others think?

I don't think this is a good idea scratch is meant to be free and I don't think scratch had a problem of running out of project space
The main point of this idea is to increase the amount you could upload in 1 project (to create bigger and better games)
And as this will only cost money to get to 500MB, you will need a serious ton of scripts to fill the limit
So it will Improve the speed of the site.
and it is still free up to 250MB which noone basic will use less.

Then let 1 account per Email or if on a school database, they would need a code to login like User: Example

The Scratch website and Scratch program are intended to be educational tool free for everyone around the world to use. It doesn't make sense to place any sort of limit storage and force Scratchers to pay to upload project once that limit is reached (or prevent them from uploading projects if that limit is reached for that matter).

What i meant fo this is to allow a much bigger Memory Allowance for the Project without allowing multiple large projects.

The upload limit is there largely because of the Java player. With the switch to new Flash player and the change to 2.0 being online, there's already talk about the upload limit being made higher.
For future reference, you might want to check out the suggestions page to see of a suggestion is under review or declined to see if the Scratch Team has said anything about t yet. And in this case, see Lightin's reply in this Suggestion for more info.

What she said. Cheddargirl knows all, tells all, and, when it comes to cheese, eats all!
Also, what TRocket and gbear605 said above me (one in a quote).

As cheddargirl mentioned, I believe the limit was being raised to something like 20MB because of the switch to Flash. I'd prefer not to limit how many projects a person can upload: that's like saying they only have a "limited trial" with Scratch and then they have to make a new account (which means abandoning any good reputation they've earned), leave Scratch altogether, or delete old projects (which would have value to the creator).
