If I had a Canadian dollar for time this question was asked, I'd have a couple extra pounds in the bank - it's a decent suggestion, alright, and not without its merits, but the point of scratch is collaboration - taking what someone else has done and adding to it is all a part of the programming (and engineering) experience. It's one of the pillars that holds Scratch together!

But over a THIRD of projects on Scratch are remixes; why take away one of the main parts that make Scratch so great?
