My mic won't work on Scratch.

I'm trying to make a project, but my microphone won;t work on Scratch. I tested it on other programs, and it was fine. Got any solutions?  hmm

temporary solution : record with another program like audacity then import into scratch

This is probably actually optimal because you can equalise and remove noise.
