Slow

I am having a lot of trouble with scratch being slow and not responding. I was working on a shooter game with a lot of scripts that run all at once, and it runs slow and does not respond very well. I have a very fast computer, so I am sure that my computers not the problem. I am frusterated that video games that require huge memory and ram run fine on my computer, but a tiny game that takes up 470 k is so slow.

Re: Slow

Do you have any other programs open? Any could be using up memory. Your memory may also be temporarily corrupted which can be fixed by a clean restart. Have you tried this?

Re: Slow

welcome to scratch! unfortunatly scratch is quite slow with lots of scripts. scratch 2.0 should be very fast (when it comes out) but until then you'll have to make do. try pressing the red stop button above the stage when moving stuff around

Do you know if scratch 2.0 will be able to run in flash player when its downloaded, not just online? That would work really well for almost all of the games I'm making...  smile
Thanks for the help!
