Okay, I was trying to reply on my own topic to two people at the same time, and I decided that the 180 sec rule on my own topic was just, well, plain annoying. What kind of person would spam their own topics? I know I wouldn't.
If this has been suggested before (reacently), I am sorry, and I will delete this thread.
If you don't want to remove it for New Scratchers, at least remove it for Scratchers.

Nah I still think you should have the same wait. Also commercial spammers could spam infinitely on their own topics.

yes but then they would get closed

Yeah, I agree. Not for New Scratchers like me (at the moment), but for full-fledged Scratchers, I support.

Due to the restrictions with FluxB, this would be hard and time-consuming to implement.

No, I don't agree. This rule was implemented to prevent spammers and to have new scratchers a higher wait so they don't spam because people with new accouts could easily be spammers.

I'm saying on your own topic. Because once I made a guide, and it was suppost to be 15 unbroken posts, but people kept posting before I could get the 15 posts in. Even though I told them not not post.

you should update the list

As a new scratcher, I cannot, because new scratchers cannot edit their posts. I assure you that I will update the list as soon as I become a Scratcher.

Keep posting as frequently as you currently are and you will be soon!

[offtopic]I always take editing for granted.[/offtopic]
Support. This would be good, especially in popular TBGs, if they do in fact do it for the TBGs.

i completely support , i also think you should be able to edit your first post in your own topic,.
good idea

Erm...
Lots of spammers would spam there own topic. First of all, the topic would be spam itself. Then, they would just keep spamming on their topic.

I don't support. The whole reason a spammer spams is not to spam the topic, its to put spam on scratch.
So a spammer could simply make a spam topic then spam on that topic.
That would not be cool.
Maybe if the user would have to be a scratcher rather than a new scratcher?
(which would mean you would still have it and there still would be a 180 sec rule )

I disagree, we don't need this. It can cause lots of spam and I agree with veggie about the commercial spamming. Unless all of you would like our forums cluttered with commercial spam. There would be much more.
There are commercial spammers that keep coming back to this site, even after being banned and spamming. We would have a never ending problem.

Also, a commercial spammer could create many topics and spam in them in a very short period of time.

I partly agree and disagree. I partly argee because i find the rule VERY annoying, But i also partly disagree because then the forums will get invaded by spammers. It's still a nice idea anyway.
