Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

CLOSED. SCHOOLWORK IS EATING ME ALIVE RIGHT NOW, SO I HAVE NO TIME TO FINISH THIS. SORRY.

Hello! Happy holidays, everyone!

Since december is approaching, I am starting a 25 fakemon long Christmas themed dex! Yay!

They will be hand drawn and scanned, better than any I've done before.

One each day, and a hint about the next day's fakemon!

And its not only drawings- over the holidays, I will release the main event- a project with the sprites for each!

I have all 25 fakemon designed, and some of the drawings AND sprites have been started.

Remember, it starts on the 1st of December.

THE DEX:
#001: Snomo (Ice)
#002: Snohemoth (Ice)
#003: Cineed (Grass)
#004: Cinnabaum (Grass)
#005: Bunuzzy (Ice)
#006: Raburr (Ice)
#007: Bellberry (Grass)
#008: Jingaling (Grass Psychic)
#009: Frosmoth (Ice Bug)
#010: Cryovesp (Ice Bug)
#011: Corpop (Normal)
#012: ---
#013: ---
#014: ---

#018: ---
#019: ---

Once again, happy holidays!

Re: Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

Happy December 1st everybody!

Here is, as promised, the first fakemon:
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Fakedex/Snowman1.jpg
Snomo
Ice
Snow Roller Pokemon
Ability: Snow Warning
Signature Move: Snow Roll (Ice) Does small damage, small chance of freezing

'SNOMO move around by rolling. They are mostly made of snow, but there is a band of hard ice around the center for easier rolling. It leaves behind skid-like grooves; these trails are often followed by pokemon hunters in the winter, making SNOMO incredibly easy to catch.'

My Inspiration:
A snowball, of course. Originally, it was just a white snowball with a face but, bleh, that's boring. So I combined the idea of a snowball with snow tires, hence the tire bit round the middle. Since it is a ball/tire, I developed its whole description and moves around it rolling to get around.

Tomorrow's Clue: The drawing is an abomination.

Re: Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

Here is today's:

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Snowman2.jpg
Snohemoth
Ice
Snow Giant Pokemon
Ability: Snow Warning
Signature Move: Snow Barrage (Ice) Does lots of damage, chance of freezing
Evolves from Snomo at level 38

'SNOHEMOTH are gentle giants. Their massive size often intimidates people. They often live on huge mountains, but sometimes will roll down the mountains- this causes them to accidentally crush entire villages, giving them the bad reputation of being abominable.'

My Inspiration:
A snowman, combined with a snow tire. Also very much inspired by the Abominable Snowman, or yetis. I didn't want it to be vicious but I wanted to keep it's 'terrorizing' nature, so I made it actually accidental scare people, when inside it is really just a happy, jolly soul.

Tomorrow's Clue: Tannenbaum Seed

I mean compared to other pokemon, the biggest I've seen was Charizard or Snorlax, both being about the size of two cars on top of each other if they're especially big.

If Snomo is a starter Pokemon, make It get bigger than houses on its LAST evolution ^^'

There are no starters in this, they are just a bunch of themed fakemon  smile

Re: Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Pinetree1.jpg
Cineed
Grass
Seed Pokemon
Ability: Chlorophyll

'CINEED live in boreal, wintery forests. They cannot walk, because they have no legs, so they spend most of their life before evolution half buried in the ground. They can still do many basic attacks in this state, so trainers still catch them, but often trainers have to carry them around in pots. When they evolve, they dig themselves out of the earth as a fully grown pokemon.'

My Inspiration:
Pinecones. Pretty simple concept. I wanted it to be very simple but nice looking.

Tomorrow's Clue: Whether summer days are bright or winter snow is white, I shall post the drawing.

Re: Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

Sorry for the huge delay, this one is four the fourth. In a while I will post the fifth, and tomorrow comes six and seven. By then I will be back on track  smile

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Pinetree2.jpg
Cinnabaum
Grass
Pine Pokemon
Ability: Chlorophyll
Evolves form Cineed at level 18

'CINNABAUM are shy, quiet but very loyal. The prefer to live in the forest but when a trainer catches one, CINNABAUM immediately devote themselves to the trainer. CINNABAUM attack by launching pinecones or shooting small, pointed needles.'

My Inspiration:
Pine trees.

Tomorrow's Clue: Little snowshoer

Sorry about the simplicity of this drawing, I didn't have time to add a background. I needed to get this out there. Maybe I'll post an updated version tomorrow  smile

Re: Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

Aaaaaaand here is number five:

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Bunny1.jpg
Bunuzzy
Ice
Snowshoe Pokemon
Ability: Cute Charm

'Since BUNUZZY live in extremely cold climates, they stay in large groups to keep warm. The all pile up in holes in the ground- one hole can contain up to twenty BUNUZZYs, all crammed together. To conserve heat, BUNUZZY will cuddle it's large, fluffy tail.'

My Inspiration:
Snow hares. I also wanted it to kind of be like the ice type Pikachu-esque pokemon. I just thought the concept was so cute, all of them stuffed into one little hole.

Tomorrow's Clue: Alpine or Cross Country

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Bunny2.jpg
Raburr
Ice
Snowshoe Pokemon
Ability: Cute Charm, Snow Warning

'RABURR have elongated feet used for skiing down hills. They are extremely fast on snow and ice. When in combat, RABURR often just run away, but sometimes they will do a series of complicated kicks.'

My Inspiration:
Snow hares, snow shoes and skiis. They also have a Ushanka-esque hat thing.

Re: Wiimaster's Fakemon Advent Calender of 2011

Finally, we are back on track guys!  big_smile

http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/ss286/wiimaster1/Holly1.jpg
Bellberry
Grass
Holly Pokemon
Ability: Cute Charm, Chlorophyll

'BELLBERRY are hollow inside, and there is a single seed inside. When BELLBERRY moves around, the seed rattles and shakes, mimicking the sound of jingle bells.'

My Inspiration:
Holly. Originally, it had nothing to do with a bell, but I thought I needed to flesh out the concept, so I combined it with one of those little tinkly sleigh bells.
