Broken 'key [] pressed?' block

HELP ME!!!!!

When ever I put an 'key [] pressed?' <key[...]pressed?> block in my game/animation it wont work. It doesn't respond to my command. I know its not key board because i'm typing this right now. I don't know what to do and I have already tried re-downloading scratch. I'm a really big fan and don't want this problem to stop me. Please help. Thanks  smile

Maybe you need to use the yellow keypressed hat block instead:

<when[  ]key pressed>

Animated sigs must be banned!
