Change .php to .html and you get a nyansty surprise.

If you change the /forums/index.php to /forums/index.html, you get the hurricane message!

Ask me what I'm doing, wait an hour than roll a die, if it's 4-6, I'm playing Skyrim, if it's 1, I'm eating, if it's 2-3 I'm programming.

And if you use Terminal/Command Prompt and ping scratch.mit.edu, it says 18.85.28.105 and if you put that in the address bar it says

If you are having trouble with simple counting, use the following mnemonic device: 1 comes before 2 comes before 5,280 comes before 523,860,759 comes after the square root of -153 comes before π. This will make your previous counting problems seem like no big deal.

That way, if they need to do server maintenance, they could just change a quick redirect at the .htaccess of the forums.

they could just put the scratch forums in maintenance mode and be sure not to logout
