I think Dad found it on MetaFilter.

I was looking for an alternative to Alice, and I found it.

My friend Greg got it, and told me of it. Its weird because he doesn't really even use it anymore, and was certainly never on the site.

It was an option for our gifted class to do for a project back in 5th grade. I did something else, but joined once I saw my friend's project.

In 5th grade, we were choosing what schools to go to next year. To help with our decisions, the school sent us on field trips to the schools. One of them was a tech school and used Scratch, which looked really fun. The other was your normal magnet school.
I go to the normal magnet school, but the tech school inspired me to use scratch.

We did a unit on Scratch in computer class at school.
I must say that I was a noob back then who made REALLY stupid errors and not being able to fix them, so it wasn't exactly love at first sight.
And then I came back to scratch, grew out of being a noob, and here I am.

Johns Hopkins. I was too young for the group so I learned it myself.

In 2007, little 9 year old me was trying to learn a programming language. I googled around a lot, and found Scratch after a few days. I signed up, and started making horrible projects. Scratch changed over the years, the warriors fad came in, me and a few others got banned. Now, I just browse the forums.
I think it was on 1.0 or something like that.

A robotics class. I asked was Scratch was, and asked my parents if I could download. That was shortly before 1.4.
I still remember that day clearly.

School, I use it for prototypes when I plan on making a real game some time soon.

On google when searching 'make games online'
That was before I knew what a programming language was, or what the heck a forum was.
Quite a few accounts before this one, FYI.
