Well, think of it this way: if RHY has no reason to stay here, he can use that potential for something REAL.

It's going to work well in all browsers though, has a standard, and is what Stencyl exports to.

you guys really need to see some NON flash , HTML5 epicness then you will probably understand what i mean , try this
Works on Chrome FFOX latest with WEBGL , its pure awesomeness of HTML5

Just putting in my 2 cents as a web developer, HTML5 is a rotten apple at the moment. Developers are stressed into getting their code to work with the three different major browsers (and IE) thus development takes a lot longer than plugin based solutions like Flash Player. Until the browsers get their act together Flash will remain the top solution for web games.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't ever boycott a game for the platform or tool it is made with. The fact that you called it "The Flash IDE" means you don't know much about flash at all. There are many development environments for Flash, and on a quick glance Stencyl is one of them. This isn't something to lose respect for someone over; that's a terrible stance to take.

*facepalm* Did i said i am boycotting the game ? eh ?
I myself like Rhy[%random%]'s stuff. but flash just dosnt suites me.
Secondly
ofcourse i dont know about flash atall all i did with it is a raytracer that gave me 30 fps barely whereas HTML 5 canvas give 40fps and webGL does it like 60+
(when i add webworkers to Canvas/WebGL they give more then 120 , oh well thats called multithreading power) ,
oh and i dunno flash atall because see I never used flash to serve media on my webprojects , I used HTML 5 or Silverlight (which serves better here) instead .
and and and i dont know flash because yeah i am a mobile web developer working on cross platform development and HTML 5 (even in current state) serves my projects requirements easily + allows it to be googled ,also keeps the file size low.
oh and yes i dont know flash either as i did a blog on flash whose file size was about 430kb loaded slow and lagged badly on my friends lower end computer .which i redid with 50 lines of CSS3 and about 100 lines of HTML and 1 line JS which loads fast and runs fast ON ALL BROWSERS and total size of transfer ? erm 100kb
oh yes perhaps i dont know nuthing about flash i am a noob with 6 years of programming experience who is employed as a web developer
and enjoys the free and open source development for internet.
thanks for telling me i dont know about flash
you opened doors for me towards a whole new world of knowledge

I know HTML5 is still building but according to caniuse.com its ~90% implemented in major browsers already and IE 10 has something close to 87% so u know that HTML 5 is NOT JUST A ROTTEN Apple , also Windows Metro is more based on HTML5 and NotFlash that means even microsoft loves HTML (so its not just a rotten apple). Last but not the least , HTML 5 is much much much more native and close to hardware then flash inside a browser(that means speed in english).
and and and when you are a developer which wants cross browser support flash isnt even a choice as we consider Mobile [not even talking about WAP] browsers aswell for which flash is a pure poison .

HTML5 and CSS3 support changes by rendering engine though, and there are different version of most CSS3 for each rendering engine, such as -webkit- or -mozilla-, which make different browsers act differently. The current version of Firefox can't even render this page correctly. There is not a working version of IE on XP with HTML5 support anyway, and I'd guess Rhy want's to have as large a userbase as possible.
