It's far too early, but I might as well get it out of the way.
My PC has once again broke, but when it fixed, I plan to get started on an ambitious project. Halo: Source is a multiplayer mod for HL2, Which aims to recreate the Halo experience. The maos are a mixture of old and new. For example, Blood gulch from Halo: CE returns, by recreating most terrain, but looks like it's halo reach version (Hemmorage), by having the area look like a lush grassland rather than a desert.
Right now, the concept is mostly done. However, we need Someone to help model the models for characters and weapons. That said, I have a few GMod Halo weapons, which could easily be converted to to Halo: Source. This means we also may need someone who can program. If the mod is being built, we may release a beta.
FAQ:
Price?: We intend this to be free. Not only because I'm nice, but also it's against the law to charge for mods.
Games needed?: I'm not sure on this one. Dev teams will need HL2. Hopefully,any source game with SOURCE SDK should do it.
I know some programing/modeling, but I don't know how to put it into Halo: Source!:
Don't panic. Visit the "Valve developer community" site. It should help you out.
Modes: Sadly, it's deathmatch. This means programers won't need to waste vital time, not to mention how easy it is to have errors in the code. The main source code is fine as it is.
Certainty of completion: Unknown. We want to make it happen. If goldeneye and Perfect dark have been recreated in source in perfection, than source can be used to remake halo.
