If it absolutely HAD to be a pop-up warning, would you like a "Display size alerts" option?

Great! I'll add it to the first post's description!

Yes, this would be convenient. Just a side note: Something else I would like is raising the 10 megabyte limit, mabye to 15 or 20 (this might load longer, but with loading, it gets the tough things out of the way first, and the process speeds up as you go, so, with a relatively average web access, it would only be 3-15 seconds more, and a better project is worth that, if you ask me, a normally unpatient guy).

Yes! I would love that too. I was recently unable to share my project due to the dinkiness of the 10mb limit.

Uh you can check the file size when you're opening the project in scratch

Is there any way to raise the size limit?
To say, 101 mb?

101 MB is too much. According to estimates, the average time would be from 30 seconds to 150 seconds longer.

There will be no limit in Scratch 2.0, http://suggest.scratch.mit.edu/forums/60449-suggestions/suggestions/1104903-unlimited-scratch-upload-.

I think that scratch won't have a 10-MB limit in 2.0, because you'll create the project online, and there won't be a need to upload.
I don't want it to be that way because if you have no internet.... in the car let's say.... then you wouldn't be able to work on scratch projects.

Hello.
Often when I'm creating a project, I find that when I share it I've somehow "exceeded the ten megabyte limit."
The problem with that is that there is absolutely no way to find out how big your project is, or whether you've exceeded the limit, unless you share the project.
I don't want to keep on sharing my project as I'm working on it, it's time consuming and unnecessary.
What I'm asking for is a warning when you exceed the limit, and also a way to check how big your project is without having to share it.
You would be able to turn the warning system on or off with a "Display size alerts" option in the file menu.*

HI! I know how to find out the MB size if you are on a Mac (apple). you CONTROL-CLICK the project icon, and then click on "get info". If you are on something else, I'm sure there is a way.

zippynk, there will be some limit.
jinwoolee2, there will also be an offline version.
Also, in reply to your other post (you didn't need to quote the whole first post btw), there are ways to check, but what is wanted is a quick-and-easy way, directly from in the Scratch program.

Thank you for saying all that so that I don't have to!
