1. You can't do that if you are a New Scratcher
2. What if somebody reads your post before you edit it later?

1. Lots of New Scratchers make guides. Heck, it doesn't even need to be a guide. It can just be a long, helpful post.
2. Even though you can write "To be continued later" under it, it would still be more convenient to just click "Save Draft" and come back later.
