I think they've already confirmed this for Scratch 2.0 after many people begged for this. I'm not sure, though...

I hope so. If you were to tell scratchers they could add one new block, the majority would say show/hide list!

I WANT SHOW AND HIDE LIST BLOCKS SO BAD! some people say "just cover it with a white sprite" and lets see that work when you have, for example, a photo background. an actual show block and hide block for lists would be great!

yes! I'm making an achievements section for my new game "fried oranges", so that would be great!
