has anyone around here transferred analouge video to pc..
specifically from a video tape cassette camera to pc via a tv (usb dongle capture card)

At the moment hitting problems transferring images from a freecycle obtained..sanyo vm-ex400p
sort of make of video camera to my laptop..(which runs xp home edition).

images in the camera seem recorded in nice crisp highly contrasted black and white pal
format video images..
and when captured in arcsoft video software it comes out with sort of coloured lines..added.

nero and ulead software which detect the camera as an oem source.. can't read the inputted signal very well
if at all..

i have a few digital ways of recording video but i really wanted to explore a bit and perhaps transfer some vhs tapes to pc as well
a bit later on..
anyone know of a useful technial forum  very unlike this one ..
