Re: has Scratch 1.9 come out?

The Scratch Team is skipping to 2.0, so there won't be any Scratch 1.5-19.  big_smile

Maybe 2.0 sounded fancier or something. It definitely sound more special than 1.5 or 1.9.
Sorry if I'm wrong, I don't know everything, OK?  tongue

It’s a GIANT skip.

They are doing everything different. Read the Scratch Wiki article on Scratch 2.0.

Re: has Scratch 1.9 come out?

Because 2.0 is meant to revolutionize scratch to meet up to Web 2.0 standards.

Web 2.0, Scratch 2.0.

When you make new softwares, the version depends on the changes. If you notice Scratch 1.2 and 1.3 have little changes, but Scratch 1.4 has big changes. And Scratch 2.0 will have LOTS of changes  big_smile

Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: has Scratch 1.9 come out?

The number depends on how big the change is. As the next version is completely different (I think I read it was online, I'm not sure though), it goes to the next whole number. If a few more blocks were added, it would go to the next decimal number with one number after the decimal point, which is 1.5. If they were just fixing a minor bug which hardly anybody would notice, it would go to 1.4.1.
