What does the word "bump" that most scratchers post in topics do?

It's an abbreviation for

Bring
Up

Post

Whenever you post, it bring it to the top, where more people will see it. Basically, It's a clever weay of getting your post seen.

Even though I did it, I don't really like it. It's kind of annoying. Right now I'm competing with somebody. We're trying to keep our posts at the top my posting bump. I'm going to stop  hmm

This is probably the fifth topic I’ve seen when someone asks what bump means.

You should actually look up what bump means before you ask the question.

Unless you really did believe that you were the only person in the entirety of Scratchers who didn’t know what bump means.

As ManiacMoose posted, it means bring up my post. However, I find bumps annoying as in my opinion, if nobody's posting on your thread, it's probably because nobody wants to.

Bump wasn’t actually designed to be an acronym. It was just supposed to “bump” the topic up to the top of the forums.
