I was at the bookstore a couple of days ago, and I came across something called "Dork Diaries". Seriously? I looked inside it, and saw that is was a complete rip-off of Diary of a Wimpy Kid! Same setup (a few paragraphs and a drawing), same idea (kid in school), same FONT even. And Diary of a Wimpy Kid isn't a rip-off of Dork Diaries, because Wimpy Kid came out two years before!
Discuss horrible piggybackers who aren't creative and just want to make money.
I feel like suing.

I heard of them Dork Diaries. Here's another ripoff:
http://www.amazon.com/Tales-Crypt-Diary … amp;sr=8-1
People need to be more creative.

That one's a parody, not a ripoff.

According to the product description given by amazon.com, Dork Diaries is basically aimed at a girl-based audience where Diary of a Wimpy Kid is aimed at a boy-based audience. Basically, same kind of idea, but targeting different reader demographic.

It's a parody, though.
Anyways, like I said, Dork Diaries is completely different, except for the outcast in school thing.
And a lot of people use a font like that for "diary" books.
