It is just as awesome as the last version (Crystal, for people that don't know), but fixes many of the little quirks of Crystal. There are still a few though:

1: RapidCode will highlight commands when they aren't even used as commands. For example, it will highlight the "if" in "life".

2: File Manager is fairly slow. This is likely because of the .NET framework's general sluggishness, but if there is anyway it can be sped up, it would be appreciated. 

3: The GUI could be a lot better. There are some places where it looks professional, but there are others where it (no offense) looks like a toddler drew it on its mom's iPad. It also looks way too much like Windows 7 (though not as much as in Crystal). It is ok to take some slight visual cues from another OS/window manager, but making it look like a brightly colored W7 Windows Explorer clone makes it look like you didn't put much thought into it. It is also the only reason I probably won't be using Firedust on a daily basis.

4: Silvinet is also a little slow, and doesn't render a lot of JS and HTML formatting correctly. This could be fixed by basing it off Webkit. I know that you like "single-file-ness", but maybe make it an optional addon? 

Still, it is pretty awesome! I'm looking forward to the next version!

Glad you liked it, and here are the replies to your bullets:

1. I was aware of that problem when I released it. It's a bit of a hard fix, because I would have to check not only for " if " (surrounded by spaces), but also " if(", " if{", ")if(", and all the variants. Of course, this would slow down the already sluggish interpreter, making it impossible to write code in less than an hour 

2. File manager can be extremely slow, especially on older computers or computers with little memory. Of course this might not be your case, but there are some solutions to speed it up    Simply go to the file manager options (from a file manager window) and disable showing thumbnails, as well as individual EXE icons. It's still going to be slow, but not quite as bad.

3. What parts exactly look like Windows 7? Since I am in the process of designing a new OS (This time, a really good one, with custom programs that actually work and a lot more), I'd like to iron out the similarities.

4. The upcoming OS is fitted with Webkit, since it doesn't have to be single-filed anymore 

If you have any other issues, please tell me now before I get into the real development of my next OS collaboration!

Yay for the last part. Webkit is epic!    ... Also, having it split into seperate programs would make it run faster.

It's not exactly split in separate programs. It has the main EXE and then a bunch of DLLs containing various programs like text editors, calculators, etc.
These DLLs are loaded into the OS at runtime with a really cool method I developed. The programs themselves don't run that much faster, but there's a big advantage to this system:

First of all, the programs can be updated separately, and they can even exchanged with completely different versions with endless combinations, without affecting the core program.

There's a big difference also in file size of the OS. The core will be much smaller, including only the very basic apps like notepad and the file manager. The big Megabytes are in the DLLs. Of course, this means it takes less time to load it into memory, and it also means that the program won't load all the programs into the RAM until they're needed. Big performance increase!

October? Wow.... 

1: Yea, I was trying to think of ways to make it not highlight sections of words without slowing it way down. I couldn't think of any. 

2: My computer is fairly fast, but showing it's age (2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo P8600, 4GB RAM). RAM and CPU probably aren't the primary problems, though. The HDD read speed probably is one of the biggest factors, but I don't have a SSD to run a test.

3: It is mainly just the design and layout of the taskbar, along with a start menu.

4: AWESOME! 

Can I have a screenshot of it before I download it? 

I just downloaded this a few hours ago. This is amazing. I love it! One question though. Can I have the encryption center password? xD i'm interested in what is in there
