24+ Hours of Homework

This weekend. I'm about 12 hours into it. Glad it's a 3 day weekend! Well, that's what I get for moving up into humanities.

Discuss exorbitant amounts of homework.

Re: 24+ Hours of Homework

Ooh. A  week ago my English teacher assigned our class this weird question and short story thing, where we had to write the questions then write the answers in complete sentences. There were at least 20 questions and she assigned us an essay the day before ;_; Then, she assigned us a packet the next day, the same day I had 3 packets due in science, a page of homework in math, my orchestra practice chart, and I had a big test in geography.

I also didn't sleep that day because I had just seen the paranormal activity commercial o_o

Well, I have:

Read To Kill a Mockingbird - 12 hrs.
A bunch of reading and S.S. packet work - 3 hrs.
English essay - 2 hrs
Math - 45 min
Physics practice test - 1 hr
7 pages of S.S. notes- 4 hrs
Science fair research - 2 hrs

And if I wake up at 8 and go to bed at 10, I have 3, 14 hour days + 6 hours on Friday. So that makes a bit more than 24 hours of homework with 48 hours to do it. I also have 24 hours of leisure time this weekend.

I'm dyslexia, and it's a 400some page book. It'll probably take longer.

Fixed.
It's actually a pretty easy read.
It's not hard, even with dyslexia.
Packet work's not that hard.
An essay can take that much, depending on what it's about.
That's reasonable for math.
I don't take physics; no opinion on that one.
Meh. Not that hard.
What are you doing for the fair?

Take away all the time on scratch and it's not that long.

It's actually a pretty easy read.  -- Yeah, but it still takes a while.
It's not hard, even with dyslexia.  -- wrong
Packet work's not that hard.  -- depends on what packet work
An essay can take that much, depending on what it's about.  Yup
That's reasonable for math.  --Calc would take most other freshman much longer
I don't take physics; no opinion on that one. -- Normally only takes like 10 min, but this is a practice test
Meh. Not that hard. [S.S. Notes?] -- 7 pages is a lot
What are you doing for the fair?  -- not sure; it's topic selection research; I'm thinking of doing something with the uses of fractals in renewable resources like solar power or water turbines

Take away all the time on scratch and it's not that long.
