Selling on the Mac App Store

Would it be okay with the Scratch Team if I compiled one of my Scratch projects into a .app with BYOB and then put it on the App Store— most likely for free?  big_smile

Re: Selling on the Mac App Store

You can do whatever you like with your project as long as you haven't uploaded it to the scratch website. You can even sell your projects!

So you're saying I'd have to take it off the website to give it out on the App Store even if I explicitly said that it is released under CC licence?  tongue

If you make an app based on a project up loaded to scratch website you must release the source code upon request and can't sell it. You and anyone else can do whatever they want with your project (Except sell it) when it is uploaded to the scratch website and the CC licence cannot be changed.

Re: Selling on the Mac App Store

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can sell it. There was a discussion in one of the AAS threads.

Re: Selling on the Mac App Store

Don't you have to pay to release an app?

Well, if you already have the mac developer account, then no. But you need to pay to get the account, so yes. But I'm pretty sure he's aware of that.
