Kinda... Except some people prefer anime and vice versa. Personally, I like anime because it's in color (A lot of mangas aren't), and because it shows the action.

Well, PowerPuff Girls managed to get an anime derivatve. Some shows or existing comics manage to get anime or manga derivatives (or anime/manga inspired derivatives) such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and even Gossip Girl, it just depends on whether or not anyone is willing to take on such a project. 

Actually, some people argue that the latest version of MLP is an anime version in comparison to some of the older MLP shows.    Here's a vintage flashback of the really old MLP shows in case anyone is interested to see how the old style used to be like.
