I was looking at an old topic, and I really want to know why people think old music sucks. It's the best thing the happened to the world! (AHEM BEATLES)

Also, do you prefer the oldies or new stuff?

Don't say The Beatles are your favorite band, since they are everyone's favorite band by default. You have to say your second favorite band, so my favorite band is Weezer.
I prefer nice 90's alt. rock or grungy stuff or punk or whatever Weezer is but I like other music too, but in my opinion, the new music (like the stuff they play on kiss 108) is just not as good as the older stuff. In my opinion I think Party Rock Anthem is the worst song of all time.

Some old music is great, and some new music is good, too. Not all new music is pop-trash, ya know. There are some hidden gems. smile

I don't get why everybody hates modern music so much. Most people like that have either lost hearing, so the only music the heard was old music, or are just too lazy to look beyond what's played on pop radio (which most of it is bad and was basically just as bad in previous decades).

there's never been a band where i like all the songs, never a generation where all songs were awesome

people who hate modern music are often the ones who are hard-headed and insist that it's bad even if there's a lot of diversity

I like it 'cause it's so creepy

i love piggies(for the meaning and catchiness), helter skelter, and rocky raccoon but to be honest i really don't like that many songs on the white album. it seemed to go downhill
