Exactly.  Debates are good.  It shows you different opinions without getting physically hurt.  That's what I think mods don't notice.  Although I hope they do notice this post.

The truth is that I favor that shut posts. If they don't closed, the forums would become total chaos. But the trouble is that you feel bad tingling and you go crazy because you can't answer the post  lol

No, I didn't.  I did say the mods need to be less harsh and that debates are good and mods need to learn the difference and some other options I don't remember.
You're welcome.

Re: Mods unnecessarily closing topics?...

You know there are sites specifically for debating right?  Scratch and the Scratch Forums are about a supportive community for Scratch programmers.  It is first and foremost for (young) kids interested in programming.  I think little kids reading (stumbling?) through a debate, not knowing what is being said, and wondering why everyone is so worked up would detract from the site.

Also, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone concede anything on an online debate; even in real life it is rare to convince someone (or be convinced by someone else), and to debate for the purpose of winning seems pointless.  The only reason for debate is for the sake of debating or starting flame wars.  If you like debating, your not alone (hey, I love debating!), just do it on a website that if for debating, not for supporting developing programmers.

Most of what you said there doesn't apply with the Miscellaneous Forums, so your argument is invalid... Just saying...

Yeah.  The misc. forums isn't about programming.  It's about discussions of other things, and it's when debates are closed that gets infuriating.

Debates are all about disagreeing.  This is turning into a debate, however, I will be FURIOUS if this gets closed for "fighting".
