Okay, I've started noticing that everyone at school is now OBSESSED with with duct tape. -__- Some kids (mostly girls) sell it at lunchtime.
Me: What are you doing?
Girl: Selling my duct tape! Wanna buy a free sample?
Me: Wait, BUY a FREE sample?
Girl: Yeah!
Me: 0__o Okay, don't even get me started. Anyways... WHY are you selling... duct tape?
Girl: I like it.
Me: Okay then.
People make duct tape pencils and sell them for like 5 bucks. "IF YOU WANT THE EXTRA BIG SIZE, YOU NEED TO GIVE ME MORE MONEY!!!!" What now? And they make duct tape hairclips and stuff. I mean, not that they aren't cute or whatever, but I'm just... confused. The money doesn't even go to a cause or anything. They just... take it. o__o So, what did I miss over summer break? I've never heard of selling duct tape.

Duct Tape hasn't spread to my Middle School yet.
Sounds idiotic.

The only duct tape thing I have seen is duct tape wallet/pouch/things. Last year in elementary school it was run only by a few people and was sold only using class currency. (EDIT: I bought one myself
) This year I haven't heard anything about it except my friend telling me something about how he's selling duct tape wallets/pouch/things for real money.

idk, who cares, it does not bug me. It came to my school too, though, it's not like a virus
I'm assuming that some new tape brand came out with all new stylish tapes. But at my school, people don't pay for them, just some students bring rolls and give little parts to their friends.

Well, I've heard of making stuff out of duct tape, like wallets, jackets, bags, etc. Michael's Arts and Crafts stores has free duct tape ideas as a way to promote some fancy duct tape they're selling. ^^

You mean it's made by Pandemic Studios? Like it could be Star Wars: Batlefront 3?

It's become something that's almost dividing the school, because of people and their "Duct tape teams". Yesterday, two girls came up to my best friend and me, and they were begging us to be on their 'duct tape teams'. "You get half off a duct tape pen if you join MY team!" "Well, you get a free duct tape shirt if you join mine!" Anyways, duct tape is cool and all but some of people at my school are just a tad bit obsessive. Anyways, just wondering where it all came from.
At first I thought it was a girl scout thing, but then I realized that some boys were doing it too. I guess those people watch duct tape youtube videos or something.

I mean, I think it started happening when I first went back to school, but I didn't pay any attention to it until I realized that they were selling it to people. (Which probably isn't allowed in our school.)

Oh, I see! They sell the fancy duct tapes at Michael's.
I might have to investigate sometime.

Faaaaads.
The ducktape fad happened to me in fourth grade, and in fifth grade I started a Stickfigure Animator fad at my school, while sixth grade we had the stupidest fad ever, le Silly Bands fad.
Currently, my area is in the Kandama fad, these weird Japanese toys. it has it's own version of horse called Ken and Death Ken, where you lose your Kandama.
Maybe next we'll have a Tamagochi fad XP

So you think Ebay isn't fair, most of the time?
