I'm mainly Jedward (don't ask, I just love them) My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Good Charlotte, Bowling For Soup, Fall Out Boy crazy :3

I don't really like happy music, unless its by Jedward. I've lost faith in pop music .3.

I love Gorillaz, but that's not the only band I like. And I couldn't name many, but that's because not many bands with the TRUE definition actually exist.

Okay, so you've labelled all commonly-accepted emo bands 'not emo', so which bands ARE emo? ._.

If MCR isn't emo, I don't know what is :L

I can handle people's opinions tonks, it's just like we were getting on peacefully accepting everyone's emo beliefs & then crazy music hipsters try to point out that something we believe in is incorrect, I respect him & whatever but it's like telling a Christian that Jesus is a woman that killed babies with rusty screwdrivers...

i think his point is not all of the songs are, like the new album. yes, bullets/three cheers, and maybe black parade was, but not killjoys

also, maybe sandy here doesn't like how you call a band he likes "emo"
it's something worth thinking about

+1

Although I don't think anything they've done is "emo", because I hate the term and don't enjoy lumping bands in with it (I only lumped Rites of Spring in, because I wanted prove what the term originally meant).

another thing i'd like to point out is when i mentioned my hatred of hatsune miku, it was an example on how i should NOT judge you/make unrelated comments on what you like, as i stated it in a loose example format

We're not. I can sort of understand Bullets, and maybe even 3 Cheers, but The Black Parade if The Black Parade is emo, then Slayer is an ambient polka band.

Re: EMO/SCENE CULTURE: Are there any emos on Scratch?

Sorry for typos, my 'e' key isn't working very well. x3

THROUGHOUT THIS, REMEMBER WE ARE DEFINING EMO MUSIC AS EMOTIONAL.
Okay, here goes.

In no order, the tracks on the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance:

The End. - As quoted in my sig. This is like an intro to 'Dead!', and mentions how the singer does not want anyone to cry at his funeral; and how he doesn't like how he looks & stuff. EMOTIONAL.

Dead! - A lightharted take on death, about a girl who died 7 never fell in love. It's an upbeat song but it's depper meaning could be considered emotional. EMOTIONAL.

Welcome to the Black Parade - Rock opera about 'The Patient', who dies at the beginning at the song, and enters the afterlife known as The Black Parade. The Black Parade was a concept invented by Gerard Way, and the song expresses a lot of emotion, particularly in the chorus: 'we'll carry on, we'll carry on, and though you'r dead & gone believe me, your memory will carry on...' EMOTIONAL.

Teenagers - Not emotional, thsi song draws on Gerard's fear of today's youths, really awesome song. NOT EMOTIONAL.

Sleep - Well, the phone recording at the start of the song involves a man who gets th feeling he is being choked to death in his sleep; and the main song is aabout letting go of your dreams etc. KINDA EMOTIONAL.

House of Wolves - More religious that emotional, in a weird way. 'We played ring around the ambulance like we never gave a care'. KINDA EMOTIONAL.

Mama - 'Mama, we all go to Hell, Mama we all go to Hell: I'm writing this letter, and wishing you well. Mama we all go to Hell. Ooh yeah Mama, we're all gonna die...-' etc. A song about someone writing to their mother. The lyrics petty much tell the story, look them up. EMOTIONAL.

The Sharpest Lives - About someone who turns to drugs & alcohol to stay happy in life: 'Giev me a shot to remember, and you can take all the pain away from me...' EMOTIONAL, and dark too.
Famous Last Words - This song saved my life. It starts off dark, and the chorus mentions how the singer is not afraid to walk this world alone & stuff. This song means a lot to me, and is VERY EMOTIONAL.

This is How I Disappear - A very meaningful song. 'And without you is how I disappear, to live my life alone; forever now' says it all. EMOTIONAL.

Cancer - Makes me cry every time :') Most emotional song on the album, about a cancer patient facing their short lifespan & realising they are going to die soon. Listen to it if you can. It's beautiful and on it Gerard has the voice of an album. VERY EMOTIONAL.

I Don't Love You - 'When you go, would you have the guts to say... 'I don't love you, like i did yesterday?' '. Very emotional song, the lyrics tell the tale of a man who's telling his girlfriend/wife to leave while they can, necause they clearly don't feel the same way about the relationship. VERY EMOTIONAL.

Any arguments with that? ._.

Just because thy disagree with a term coined by their fans (well, they got labelled by their fans) dosn't mean I/we have to.
