Do you know what emotive rock is? That's 'emo' music

The Black Parade album by MCR and all of their music is 'emotive rock' as you put it. If you doubt me listen to some of their tracks.

Look up emotive rock

I know what emotive rock it =__=
But if you listen to the lyrics to some of MCRs tracks, they are meaningful & emotive. It's pretty clear that they're considered 'emo' and any emo you speak to will agree. You're not emo & wouldn't get our taste in music, most likely

Emo culture isn't a big solid fact, it's added to and developed by those that endorse it. Like emo culture has changed over the years since it got more mainstream. >.> There is no fact, just a well-known opinion. ._.

What's with the quotes?
I mean, how is it possible for you to have not ever encountered emo when there's so many. I was backing up what you said about having not met any emos in your life & asking how you have not.

Emo does not mean whiney. That's sort of stereotypical. It's a style. It's like saying all popular people are airheads, or all nerds wear glasses. I'm a nerd/emo/I don't know what. Plus, the fact that someone lives in a first world country does not make their lives perfect. We should be grateful for what we have, but it doesn't mean that people here don't have problems.

Think a little bit before you post.

Re: EMO/SCENE CULTURE: Are there any emos on Scratch?

but in a way, being depressed isn't really  thing to be proud of...it's like, i'm depressed. do i say "i'm overemotional and proud" ? not really. i get emo is more of a culture with the way you dress, the music you listen to, etc.

but i'm not going to let a label define me, y'know what i'm saying man?

i hate them because they think they're hardcore because they put on make up, wear black stuff and try to make others feel miserable. they're just selfish idiots that try to be cool and stuff.

they think i care about how their life is filled with darkness and dead things and stuff, when in reality i wished they'd just go away and grow up.

they also smell funny.

Dude, those are the FAKE emos, the one's that are jumping on the bandwagon cause they think it would make them cool. The real ones are emotionally challenged. They wear black because it makes them feel better. They put makeup on to make themselves feel better. SO, really, don't insult things you know nothing about.

That's stereotyping.  It's saying all emos are bad.  That's insulting and mean and you ought to not criticize that just because you don't agree with it.

That's a bit like saying "I hate black cats".  What's different about emos that makes them so "wierd"? Go ahead and suit yourself.  This is the second time I've seen you behave totally immature about something. :T
