Emo does not mean whiney. That's sort of stereotypical. It's a style. It's like saying all popular people are airheads, or all nerds wear glasses. I'm a nerd/emo/I don't know what. Plus, the fact that someone lives in a first world country does not make their lives perfect. We should be grateful for what we have, but it doesn't mean that people here don't have problems.
