Well in year 5 (I'm english) we used it in ICT and when I wanted to show someone who was teaching me how to do computer animation I wanted to show it to her but she didn't have the program so I found you could post it here! I'm glad I did this site is awesome!

My dad is the head librarian at a college, & he was looking for good educational programs. He found scratch, & after finding out what it was about, he forwarded the link to my mom. She downloaded it, & when I got home from school (I was 8 back then), she introduced me to the program, but thought I wouldn't get anything out of it. But that day, I made like 10 projects & learned some key skills about programming. This happened in January of 08 when I was 8 (so not much later than scratch's release), I started sharing my friend's account, sku2000, in 2010 at age 11, & moved on to this account almost a month ago. I am now 12 & still continue to program games on scratch with the scratch motto always to be in my head: Imagine, Program, Share!

I was reading something called 'Science World' In my A block and someone who animated the Toy Story characters was asked something like "How can I do the things you do?" and he said something like, "try programs like Scratch to get you started" and I was like. Ummz, whats scratch? And when I got home my dads like "Look what I found, it's called scratch!" I was like AHHH ITS HAUNTING ME! But I said "Who told you about that" and he said "someone at work" and I was like oookayyyy. So I signed up and now i'm addicted XD LOL
