Okay this is based on my previous thread in misc. (You can find it here.)
What happens is when you have something to say on the general topic of the topic that doesn't pertain to the already happening discussion, you can create a sub-topic. This sub-topic will have the same limitations as a normal topic, except for the fact that it is WITHIN a currently existing topic and can only be accessed through that topic.
This will make the front page of EVERYWHERE less cluttered due to less sub-duplicate threads. There will only have to be a few topics at once!
Examples:
New blocks
Block tweaks
Both would fit within the general topic of "changing the blocks scratch has", right?
So we create a Topic:
General block changes
Then when you go into the thread, Along one of the sides (the ones full of white space) will be the sub-topics, listing things like:
Blah blah change blah tweak blah
Hey look a new block that looks cool
...
And stuff.
Under "All about scratch" would be very broad topics such as;
Scratch in general
Scratch program
Scratch website
The forums
And under these would be subtopics that pertain to the main topic.
Sure, it's the same as subforums.
But who wants to make the mods create a billion to service us?
Put a new, lower post type in the USER'S hand!
