So I heard that the Swell Forums is undergoing extreme pressure, and I thought,"Well, I quit it already. But it couldn't hurt to go back again. Swell probably needs help, and my stint with the forum was awesome."
But I discovered that I apparently was the only thing keeping the Anon Sublegion away. The Main Forums were hacked and obliterated, and some guy impersonating me(how ironic) had written an insulting message that was signed as mexix.
I'll be helping restore order and clean up the mess, but really, Swell, what happened?
Is it really that tough to keep them away?

And I've heard that this probably doesn't belong in the Scratch forums, but in the Swell forums.

Do you have access to the usernames and emails of your registrars? There's an excellent site that I use a lot for my website called Stop forum spam which is a free resource listing usernames/emails of online users. This will allow you to firstly block people who have previously spammed, flamed etc on other sites before they congeal on yours, and secondly report your own resident spammers there so that other sites don't have to deal with them in the future! If you have access to the php for your registration page, you can actually use the API they supply to simply refuse people found on that site who have spammed x times from registering... Let me know if that's any use!

The Swell Forums are incredibly undermoderated and poorly executed. I don't see how it fits under Scratch's new rules for outside forums at all when there's absolutely no competent moderation happening there.
