Give me some tracks. I'll give it a shot.

Lazy Sunday Jam should be quick to record, not really a time waster. Many bands have instrumental songs actually
Maybe we could record that plus a song with vocals on the same time period?
By the way, I e-mailed you the project for WIBY - it should be uploaded tomorrow.

Can we do a cover of All Star by Smash Mouth, pretty pretty please with a double cherry on top? I even found a Noteflight score for it, although we'll need to find out which instrument is which...
I'll edit it a bit, so it seems playable.

You mean this? I've heard it before
I'm not sure if it'll sound well with an acoustic guitar though... And tbh I'd rather keep recording originals, like "Gone".

I think it'll still sound good... We don't know until we try it, though. And I'll record vocals for "Gone" too.
And do you mind if I change the lyrics to "Gone" a little bit? It'll still have the same feel, but it won't sound as awkward.
I'll keep editing the score for All Star, it appears to have been written more for sound than for playability...

Of course I don't mind.

you should get on Pandora

I finished editing the Noteflight score for All Star. It's still a bit confusing, but it makes a little sense. There are 3 piano tracks and 2 drum tracks which should probably be recorded separtely, but it shouldn't be mpossible to record...

It says I don't have permission to access it.

Can someone PLEASE add a piano part to Lazy Sunday Jam? I don't really like being excluded in things

@Lellowsfuzz: Do you think All Star would be too hard to play, what with the 3 separate piano tracks to record and all?

Most of them are separate, the ones that aren't are just simple chords so it should be no big deal

Can I join? xD
I've got a 3 year background in Music. I play Violin with lessons, but I can also play guitar and piano (self-taught). I can learn and pickup instruments rather quickly...
I've got a Blue Yeti (Mic) which is amazing.

@fg123: A violin would be interesting... Well, what does technoguyx think.
@technoguyx: Let's try recording two at a time. Lazy Sunday Jam is one. Here are my suggestions:
Nothing Without, Everything For
All Star
A Chance
Gone

I could expirement with adding a violin patrt to All Star, if fg123 is still interested.
I uploaded the project! It's on the band's Scratch account.
I'm also working on an original of my own, called "Reload." It's kind of about my life.

I finished part of the noteflight score for my original. It's still a WIP, but it's finishable.
I also changed one of the piano parts to a violin part. It sounds a lot cooler.

That song would be awesome if you added a chorus part. It's kinda short.
For All Star, I thought the 3rd piano part would also make a good violin part.
Also, how about we include fg123 any time we need any extra instruments in a song, like violin.

Whoa whoa, a lot has happened since I last checked this thread.
Let's see... The song is released, fg123 wants a spot, shiguy suggests we go on Pandora (I've heard of it, might check it out later), we need a piano part for Lazy Sunday Jam, and we have like 5 different songs that we can record now.
...Not to mention we have to update our banners, maybe add the codes to the first post too:

Reload sounds pretty cool so far. Unexpectedly cool actually. Only the bass needs a little fixing, sounds a little off. If Reload is done quick we could record that and Lazy Sunday Jam. I'll add piano to the latter, of course.
As for the violin... Experimenting a little with it would be nice, maybe even add some subtle violin parts to Gone?
We could either record Lazy Sunday + Reload to release them on early 2012, or record those two plus Gone to release all 5 songs in an EP, a little later. Maybe in February. What do you think? I'd like to try out the latter option

I know this might be unreasonable, but I can sing some parts of the song. I have a very good voice. I basically did the whole thing right now at my desk without an external mic, but of course I could do it with a real mic if I actually do it for the song. Listen here: http://soundcloud.com/gamez7/all-star
EDIT: @technoguyx, I like the latter idea as well.

A little quiet, but you actually have a pretty good voice
Maybe you could sing backup? Or even lead in one odd song. All you need is a better mic and singing with more energy.
EDIT: If designer45 doesn't mind, here's a slight edit of Reload. Changed the bass and added some piano. Will add piano to Lazy Sunday Jam later.

Hey technoguyx, since I posted last, there seems to be more requests by people to join the band like fg123. If you ever consider doing so, will remind you of the instruments I can play again: lead & rhythm guitar, keys, piano, drums and also lead/backing vocals. I am quite good at mixing as well.
P.S. I updated my sig. I will take up the place of definite graphic designer for Frozen Coco.
P.P.S. Look out for the new Frozen Coco website that's releasing on the 25th (Christmas Day). It is much more professional unlike the current rather mediocre one.
