I guess we have to use DIY's then.
Few tips/suggestions. Since the text is the foreground, I suggest you make the text clear and maybe a nice gradient. Everything else can stay the blurry way it is.
Please try it and let me see the results. Thanks!
And guys, register @ http://frozencoco.co.cc/ please.

It is a good improvement. In my opinion, the first one you linked looks better. The other looks a bit too light and to me, it looks more blurry than the first.

I liked the second one better, but the first looks fine too. Text definitely needs to be clear, though I don't think I can do much to make it clearer or add a gradient - that's a thing that should be changed in the Sketchup file. And anyway I'm not sure if a gradient would look good.

Shall I try to make the text clear? I have the original SketchUp file. BTW, what is the name of the EP? I might as well put it into the cover I'm re-uploading. I was thinking of something like 'Omnibus' perhaps for the title.

Could you send me the sketchup file? Perhaps I could take some different angles of the shot and experiment?

If you did make it clearer, that'd be great. No definite name yet.
If it's not too much to ask for, you should also try to adapt it to a square image, album covers are square.

I rendered all the objects separately on Google SketchUp and then put them together in Scratch as different sprites so I do not have a SketchUp file with all the objects in it. Designing each object individually allowed me to make them more elaborate. However, I do have only the background and objects separately in different SketchUp files, but I don't think that will be of help to you, will it? Anyway, I'll try and improve on what technoguyx said and do it myself.

Yeah, sure! I can do that!

How so?

You probably won't understand what I'm saying but, it is impossible to get certain angles of an object and add gradients to it once you've constructed the room in which it is in. When you turn the camera angle, you only see a gray surface which does not allow you to edit all sides of the 3d image of an object. If you've used SketchUp, you'd know.

I cropped the image so that it turned out as a square. I added the title 'Omnibus' as I thought that it suited the album since it is after all a collection of songs. I quite like it actually, but I don't know how it will appeal to you.
Here are the links to the pictures:
- Un-cropped version
- Cropped version
Hope you like it!

I have used Sketchup, but I'm not sure what you mean by "gradients". Do you mean textures? I see no evidence of a gradient in your current image.

Wow... 13 pages already. I can't wait until we get the forums.
Who thinks I should set up a temporary one while we wait for that?

I agree...omnibus is also the word for a bus, and our songs have nothing to do with buses
It also means "of everything", in latin...I think, if I remember correctly... well our songs aren't really about "everything", they're all about love...so I say we either go with "Take 2", or we come up with a title that's more appropriate for this album.

I didn't like it at first either, although later I liked after a little thought. Trust me. The reason I chose the name was because (@hpotter123) it means 'a collection' and not just 'of everything'. This matches the tag line 'A collection of songs'. btw, what d'you mean it is also the word for a bus?

You're not perhaps the only Tintin fan today. I am a huge fan and have read all books. I know a good deal of trivia too!

Bah... you're all wannabe Tintin fans compared to me.

"a usually automotive public vehicle designed to carry a large number of passengers : bus"
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/omnibus
In my "solo career" (that phrase sounds so cool and official
), I released two albums, one was called "Selection", and one was called "Repertoire"...but those were really diverse (songs ranged from rock to classical to jazz) and all about different things...and I'm not sure I like that type of album title though...it doesn't make the album feel unique
I don't know, we can discuss it further.
EDIT: What if we were to write a song called "Take 2" as a title track for the EP? I can imagine a song in the same theme...maybe someone has had some relationship problems with someone else, and s/he wants to start over?
Just throwing out ideas

OK, so maybe the word has several meanings, but people will know what we're referring to.
About your idea about titling it Take 2 and writing a song by the same name, why don't we just in that case use the title of one of the songs we already have as even now, the production of the next musical items by Frozen Coco is taking a long time. We have five songs at the moment which I think is quite a lot.
I propose that we wait for technoguyx to respond. He may consider the title we already have. I gave him a detailed explanation on why I arrived at that in one of my previous posts.

Guys, can we put all discussion at frozencoco.co.cc? Thanks.
I checked out your website. It's pretty cool and I appreciate the work that went into your website. However, there are two queries I'd like to address.
1. Your website is powered by FluxBB. I was under the impression, and you did indeed say that you will build the website forums purely out of HTML. I honestly don't see the difference between Webs and this one.
2. frozencoco.co.cc is not exactly like a conventional band's website, is it? The website basically consists of forums and no home page, news, music section, etc. I instead bettered my current site by putting moderator status to those who registered from the band and a number of useful tabs that give a background about Frozen Coco.
Check out my new, improved website for Frozen Coco:
