This is another story of Minecraft...but told from another point of view. I hope you enjoy. If you like it, I will write more. Any constructive criticism is helpful, but please no unhelpful criticism. ("Your story sucks!")
Chapter One
I remember the day they killed my parents. They were with parents of my friends, and just minding their own business and talking about whatever adults talk about.
I saw the whole thing. Those humans - with their weird names above their heads and odd skins - charged them, swinging diamond swords! I remember screaming at the same time as my mom did as she was hit!
They fought back, waving their gold swords, but they were no match for the humans. I screamed with fear and horror as I saw four porkchops floating just above the ground.
And then the humans laughed. I remember hearing it, a horrible, mocking sound as I pulled back behind a pillar of netherrack, trembling uncontrollably.
When they were gone, I cried. I could not remember ever crying before. But I cried for everything. I was just nine years old at the time.
Four years have passed. I've sworn revenge on my parents, but the humans have yet to appear again.
A voice tears me from my thoughts. "Jack. What's wrong?" It's my best friend, Gerard. He's the other who lost his parents to the humans. We've never been separated since.
I run a hand over my zombiesh leg, as I always do when I'm thinking. "I want to get revenge. You know, for our parents? I know where their portal is. Are ya with me?"
Gerard doesn't even hesitate. "Yeah. Duh!"
Chapter Two
"One sec. Stay right here." I dash off back to our village's overhang. In the corner is my small plot of land, where I grow red mushrooms for food. Snatching five or six of them, I stuff a few into my pocket and hand the rest to Gerard, who grins.
"Come on," I say, shoving my sword into my belt to make it easier to move. I jump down a small ledge and begin running across a plain of netherrack. I can hear the tap of Gerard's feet as he follows me. Below us, I can see the seas of lava shimmering, inviting us. No. I'm not going to get distracted. It doesn't hurt us, but it hurts the humans. Before they attacked Mom and Dad, one of them had fallen into it and screamed and hurt before the flames were put out by running.
I smile grimly at the memory, then realized he probably healed by the porkchops of my parents. I bite my lip.
Above me rises a small cliff. I grip cracks in the netherrack and pull myself up, up, my arms aching but my body rushing with adrenaline.
Below me, Gerard is struggling up the cliff. I put out a hand and he takes it, me pulling him up.
We stand on the edge of that cliff, peering out the other way. In the distance, the purple plasma of the portal swirls mystically, our ticket to revenge.
Chapter Three
Gerard snaps me from my thoughts. "What're we waitin' for?"
Yeah. What are we waiting for? I smile wryly and grab my friend's hand, pulling him along with me as I run to the portal.
We're standing in front of it now. Strange roaring noises hurt my ears and a faint wind - unknown in the Nether(home sweet Nether) - tickles my face.
I release Gerard's hand and step in.
Nothing. That's all there is. Nothing. I'm falling through endless space. Black. Silence reigns. It's cold here. Really cold. At least, in comparison to the Nether.
Then I'm standing on cold, hard, obsidian. Purple wraps me like a blanket as I peer around through the misty haze of the portal. Substances surround me, which I can put names to only because of school. Cobblestone. Stone. Dirt. Grass. Wood.
Cautiously, I step out. Grass the same tone of green as my zombie parts squished under my feet. I jump! "What the..."
"Jack!" squeals Gerard urgently from nearby. "A name! A human! Over there! Run!"
Chapter Four
"Where?" I grunt urgently, suddenly unsure of this whole plan. My eyes follow where Gerard's trembling hand is pointing. Sure enough, there's a name! My eyes grow wide as I recognize the name from the attack.
No. They won't get me like they got my parents. Leaping into action, I grab Gerard's hand and yank him behind a small hill, where I see a cave!
Pausing, I'm unsure of myself. I can hear the human's speech now, he's getting closer, yet I also don't want to get lost in an Overworld cave with no way to escape.
Gerard pulls his hand from mine. Peering down into the smoke-blackness, he runs and jumps into it! His small body grows smaller as it gets farther away.
Suddenly I see him fall, disappearing from view! His terrified scream echoes up to me: "Jaaaaaaaaack!"
Chapter Five
I dash forward, my heart pounding like a million drums. Crouching at the edge of the drop, I peer down.
There's Gerard, standing there, looking dazed. He glances up at me. "Help!" he calls.
And then it came. A green, blockish thing, ugly as all heck, waddling on its two fat little legs. I didn't get too good of a look, though, before there was a sizzling, and a massive kaboom!
A single porkchop floated above the gray stone.

Really?
Thanks!
I've actually had this idea for a few months, ever since I discovered about the nether and zombie pigmen.
I'm glad you like it.
Will get around to writing chapter two soon.

i think you'd say zombie-like instead of making up words, in general

This. Is. Epic. I came from a forum full of stories!
And then it gave me a virus!
YAY (sarcasm) And I had to quit. So, I'm really glad to see stories on Scratch. About Minecraft, especially! I like the idea of telling the story from the Zombie Pigman's perspective.

You're so nice. Thanks. I write a lot of stories on my iPad, but I never seem to finish them.
I almost got into the magazine Stone Soup, but then they rejected me just about two or three months before that issue was published.

Bumpies.
Will write chapter 4 when I get around to it.

Awesome, I love it.
It was a really good point of view to write it from a kid pigman-How'd you think of it?
And when's Chapter 4 coming out?

Today or tomorrow, whenever I get around to it.
I've actually had that general idea pretty much since I learned about the Nether and zombie pigmen. I'm 13 and so I thought it would be easier to write it from a kid's point of view than an adult's.
Thanks for saying you like it! I'm glad!

After this story, I think there should be baby mobs. They could be added whenever animal breeding is (if it ever is) and they could drop half the items of what an adult would usually drop.
There could be baby creepers! Aww, these baby creepers are so much cuter than- BOOM. Anyways, can't wait for more of the story.
