If you have a good speech that isn't just nonsense, you have a very high chance of becoming curator. There are not any advanced prerequisites, so you should be fine. If you, however, see that people who applied later than you have become curator, then your application probably has already been read.

It'd be cool to be curator someday!

I like music videos and simple yet fun games, I actually have a wide variety of likes! But above all, I prefer animations. Really, I only want to be curator so I can help scratchers get popular. It always feels wonderful when I know I've helped somebody.

And now there are hundreds of people wanting to be curator. If you really want to do it, you should follow the Scratch Teams directions and give some examples of what you might curate.

Ah!!! This is really late, hopefully you've gotten an answer but if you haven't:
They at first tell you through the scratch website, and to find out more information, they tell you through email. That's what happened for me.

Really, it should be your own choice, and because these projects are going on the front page, slightly violent projects (guns, slight blood) shouldn't be curated.
Also, because the reward is comparable to being featured, nothing too popular or made by someone too popular should be curated. You can curate any type of project, however, as long as you feel it is worthy.

Did I forget to include that in my post? Silly me. I always forget things.

Edit: No wait, I included that. It's at the bottom of the list where it says "NOT".

This is a great guide to how to become a curator! liked how you thoroughly explained the topic. Could you, by any chance, check this out, my curator speech , because I'm really unsure about it. I think I did a good job.

Okay, I read over your speech. I think the "speech"y part is fine, but you may want to add onto your examples.

Rather than just saying which projects are good, perhaps say why you liked them and why you might curate them.

Is there a application or just a speech? If so is it just a simple little thing or is it more of a presidential speech. Persuasive? Why you want to be it? What kind of speech? Just have a lot of ??????'s. Also do i have enough projects/experience. :S

It's just a speech. It doesn't have to be all deep and moving, but it should be informative.

It'd be nice if you had more experience than others applying to make it easier to get the role.
