Finished!  (actually I made this a while ago  tongue )

Also, if you don't want to re-download the whole thing, you can just replace the image file (runtime.image, in the kit folder) with this (for some reason shows up as text for me-FF 9...)

The only problem with this is that when you click the normal X it asks if you want to save the image file-I don't think it matters what you click, but you may want to put your own close button in the program.

Sorry for the late reply-exams this week  sad  but yes, I can change that (probably will be later, sorry!)...I should figure out how to make a batch file like EXEScratch to make it so you can change settings without re-downloading.

I think that I am going to make some sort of batch file thing, or something similar (like EXE Scratch), so there aren't like 5 different versions...but if you really can't wait any longer, below is a link to a windowed version.  **But beware: I was working on it, and for some reason it keeps giving me errors when I try to save, so it may not work**

Re: Panther2EXE

I found out that you can make it fullscreen, but you have to maximise the window before it finishes loading. Also, how do you make a "quit panther" block?

Block Library to the rescue!

'quit Panther'

Code:

  Smalltalk snapshot: false andQuit: true

Also, I forgot to actually remove the buttons, so if you make the window bigger, you can also use the old way to exit out.  tongue

In some versions (or maybe all, I lost track  tongue ) there is another Panther image file.  All you have to do is open your project in that image file, then save it again.  That will convert it to .sb!

If that doesn't work, there is a link on the first post to Ls97's extension converter, which also works to convert it to .sb!

Hope that helps  smile

Sorry to be a pest

you're not being a pest at all, this is what the forums are for  smile

So, here's what you have to do:
1. Download the Converter.
2. Run it.
3. Drag your file onto the box.
4. Type sb into the little input box that comes up, and press enter.
5. There should now be another copy of the file with the sb extension.

Feel free to ask if you're still confused!

Sorry if this is too complicated, but this is the only way I've gotten it to work.  So, first, you have to open you project in the version panther included in the ZIP file, then save it again.  All this does is saves it as a .sb file.  If you know how to mod panther to do this, that would work also.

You can go in the windows control panel and uncheck "hide known file extensions" (or something like that).  Then you can use right click to rename.

You won't need to worry about it anymore soon  smile
I finally figured out how to recompile the NSIS file without any errors!!!  So now, it will accept .pt files!
I just need to get a few more things finished up, but I should be able to release a new version in a week or two.

Re: Panther2EXE

I'm looking forward to seeing the new version  smile  When It's up I'll update the Panther site to show the new one  smile

It's probably too late to suggest for this version, but allowing different versions that show/hide each of the three full-screen buttons would be awesome! For example, I would want to hide the green-flag and stop buttons and just leave the esc button for most of my applications.
