The Lion King

http://images4.fanpop.com/image/photos/15300000/The-Lion-King-Screencaps-the-lion-king-15385011-1150-675.jpg

Quite possibly one of Disney's best animated feature films IMO  big_smile  Anyways, it's back in theaters (and quite epic in 3D if you ask me!)

So discuss the Lion King: favorite characters, songs, moments, what parts could have been better in 3D, the musical, ect, ect....

My favorite parts?

1994 isn't that old -_- ... But it is a classic  smile  I'm hoping that Disney will re-release some more of their classics in theaters. I was born in the wrong Disney Generation (apart from Pixar).

I would love to see Litte Mermaid, Aladdin, and Cinderella in theaters. Little Mermaid would be sweet in 3D as well!

I did hear that the next one being re-released in theaters is Beauty and the Beast though  big_smile

I was a little disappointed that the trailer for Brave wasn't in front of the 3D showing... They had the new Muppet movie trailer though  big_smile

Hehe yeah... I can't wait for that movie either ^^ The parody trailers are the best! But back on topic...

My favorite character is Raffiki  big_smile

"It means that you are a baboon and I am not!"

"I known exactly who you are... You're Muffasa's boy!" *runs away*

And then his ninja moves towards the end of the movie XD

Re: The Lion King

In school, some kid was singing the mamabeatsebabah thing. It was funny the first 1000 times.

The problem of even classic Disney films is that those cheesy musical numbers make me want to crack the disc. Seriously. And the voices..the voices! Augh! I mean, they're not bad films, but the voices are annoying.

Re: The Lion King

I remember that movie.  smile

I also remember seeing a commentary about it, in that it was one of the more unique Disney movies of its time because it was one of the few where both parents were present at some point (Simba had both his parents, Mufasa and Sarabi, alive at the beginning of the movie), where most of the other movies one or both parents were largely absent (examples for comparison: in the Aladdin movie, Princess Jasmine only had her father, Aladdin's parents are absent from the movie; in Snow White, Snow White only has her step mother, her father totally absent from the movie).
