how do you make a picture for your username?

how do you get a picture for your username? iv'e been trying all sorts of different pics but none works.

First, make a picture in GIF, PNG, or JPG format. Then, go to your home page on the Scratch website and click "change picture". Then click the "Choose File" button and select the picture you made. Finally, click the "update" button to actually send the picture. You might need to refresh your browser (just click on "my stuff" again) to see the new picture.

Try going on Google Image for some cool pics! then click on the biggest version and right click it. there should be a thing that says " Save As" click that and type in everything. make sure to save it as a JPEG or anything that johnm said. hope this helps!
