It's not a programming language.

Mostly scratch.
I know some javascript, I'm beginner level at C, and I know a little node.js.

This is a temporary signature. It will exist until I think of something witty.

Since it interprets Scratch code into Squeak (into SmallTalk), I would consider it an IDE...

C interprets C code into assembly. Does that make it not a programming language?

Huge difference.

Assembly is not a programming language, as it is machine specific...

...whilst C is not.

And Squeak SmallTalk is a programming language, but Scratch is an interpreter into Squeak.

And squeak is an interpreter to Assembly.  Get my drift?
