What if Scratch had layers?

OKay, so I love scratch as far as programming goes, but, the drawings for animations are harder because they don't have layers! The onion skin idea was great, but simply, layers. if someone doesn't want to use them, they should be able to press a button that says, 'hide layers' and then there's another one that says 'show layers' or something like that.   wink  please help, and scratch on!!

Re: What if Scratch had layers?

Do you mean layers in the paint editor? Why not just import from GIMP or something? ;/

Re: What if Scratch had layers?

You could just import it from gimp, but its harder to draw on SCRATCH without layers. and also, I have phtotshop, and I've made an animation with just photoshop and imported it on scratch, dude, it took forever.

Re: What if Scratch had layers?

Animations take a long time. Scratch is meant to be a programming language, not an art tool.  hmm
