Re: LIFE - A Life Simulation Game

Do have to admit this collaboration looks interesting after second thoughts...
Are there any positions left as graphics creators or programmers?
While I have only been on Scratch since November 2011, I have had some experience with C++ and PHP.
I have not played the Sims 1, 2 or 3 but have looked briefly at the Sims Social (on Facebook), which is what I think you should aim, more realistically, at.

So like the Sims in scratch? Can I join? I could (probably) make a good character designing interface and at least mediocre art  tongue

Re: LIFE - A Life Simulation Game

Just took a look at the current LIFE project...and personally I think it needs a lot of trimming down in terms of the amount of scripts involved. It is just not feasible at this level of efficiency to finish LIFE if the rest of the project is as inefficient as the file size may exceed 10MB.
The old version of LIFE actually looks slightly more interesting, personally, although the newer version is flashier.

The old version didnt do anything, and most of the scripts in the current version are mainly for the create a person. (Though i doubt it).

Also, please dont negatively comment on my work. If you can suggest what could be improved, I would be glad.

As far as speed goes, there is a good topic about making projects faster. Haven't tested whether it is true or not. If you want to take a look at it, you can find it here

Re: LIFE - A Life Simulation Game

Sorry, sorry...
Overall, it currently looks quite well and the graphics are great. However, the create-a-person is slightly...glitchy...especially as the buttons can display incorrectly at times. The general structure is starting to take shape though and the actual scripts look right.
Is there any way I could help?

You can help with anything you like. I still have to finish the create a person. The scripts are quite complicated, and they need to stay for it to integrate with the current system.

Not yet. And bobby, I need to get some code on DragonFEST done. We are on the verge of shutting down due to not enough work.

Re: LIFE - A Life Simulation Game

You want me to send over a little bit of code from my own flash projects. It could easily save you a ton of time. Again, I don't know if you would rather code everything yourself.

Re: LIFE - A Life Simulation Game

Alright. It might be safer if you write a file uploading script on the DragonFest website. I have it's URL. (don't ask why...)
