It's disgusting and immoral. They cut off the shark's fin and toss it back into the ocean while it's still alive. DON'T EAT IT.I've noticed that you didn't answer my question about why humans care so much.
My dad is a really smart guy, and he's told me not to mess with nature. We kill these sharks needlessly. Shark fin soup isn't a need. It's a really horrible want. By killing these sharks, we are changing the future irreversibly. These sharks won't have the babies they would have had, which means the seals or whatever that would've been eaten by the babies won't be, etc.
+1 even though I`m afraid of sharks ^^

but I think jellyfish are beautiful~ <=3Yeah, they are. You know that only about ten people a year are killed by sharks. More people die of bee stings and such.
yeah but ever since this dream I had (tell me if you want to hear what it was about) I just cant even watch a movie about them
It was the only dream in my life where I died and it felt so real...
Sure, now you've got me interested in it!

okay I`ll tell
*scary alert!*so what happened is me and my big sister were walking on water to get something, and we were on one side while the sharks were on the other. while we were walking a shark came up from the other side and onto our side after us, except I didn't know how to swim. So when I asked for my sister for hep she gave me this look she always gives me where she playfully sticks her tongue out while biting it and swam off (don't get me wrong, she is really nice in real life
most of the time..). so the shark came after me and at first I started swimming away frantically (for some reason my power to walk on water was gone..). but then I realized when I started running out of breath that I would never make it back in time. so I gave up and started pummeling down the ocean in circles with my eyes closed and a neutral face with the shark swimming after me. the weird thing was the angle was as if I was a different person watching this from far away. then eventually everything went black, and still as If I was a different person watching over myself, I saw quick flickering images of the shark digging into me. then it went black again. but the weirdest thing about my dream is that when the image came back I was in a small pure white chamber with green circles going up and down around me and hearing a digital voice say "hello welcome to (some weird company name, most of it was banked out) which stands for ~~~~~~(blanked out) the only word I could hear was reincarnation program. then I woke up .

Shark Fin's Soup is a popular delicacy in Singapore, where I live. It's delicious, especially with vinegar, thought it's very expensive. It's often served at wedding dinners.
Some people complain that the brutality of removing the fin(hacking it off then leaving the shark to bleed and starve to death in the sea) is immoral and refuse to eat or serve shark fin's soup, but to be honest, I care more about my tastebud's happiness than the shark.Evil, completely evil.

In china, they eat MONKEY BRAINS.
And in someplace, they eat dogs.
And yeah, boiling lobsters alive is horrible. Humanity really kills animals in the worst ways.
In Singapore, we also eat Pig's Intestines. It's another local delicacy....
I've always wanted to try monkey brains, and it's blood, too(the blood idea came from The Name of This Book is Secret). I also love eating cold jellyfish and baby octopuses.
Maybe I'm sociopathic, but I couldn't care less about the environment. By the time the Earth is "drastically changed"(lolno), I'm dead and I've got unlimited food in the afterlife, Heaven, or wherever.

I know for all the animal lovers out there (like me) it's kinda sad. But it gets passed down from tradition and culture. When the Polynesians lived on Hikueru, they ate baby octopi and stuff like that. They ate whatever they find and catch so that they could live a healthy life. People need to eat. You know, every animal on earth that is eaten or eating something is part of the food chain. We need all the animals to keep stuff in order. We ARE animals. We're part of the food chain. We all eat meat to survive, and what people eat often gets carried down through tradition and culture. When the fin of a shark is hacked off (I know it sounds cruel), the other sharks (or other sea animals) in the ocean most likely get a wonderful feast of that poor shark whose fin was cut off. So eating Shark's Fin Soup is probably as wonderful in that part of the world as is... [insert some delicious soup here]. End of rant. XD
