I want to feature new projects that have not gotten enough attention. I am looking for your help. At this point we only want proposals from people whose account was created more than 2 weeks ago.
Please note that proposing a project does not mean we will feature it, we are only looking for suggestions.
These are the kind of things we're looking for:
1. simple projects
2. complex projects
3. projects that show an innovative use of Scratch
4. project that promote collaboration and remixing
5. projects that show the diversity in our community (gender, age, culture, country, interests, etc)
6. project that different kind of people would find enjoyable
7. projects that inspire
A project CANNOT be submitted if it...
1. was created by you. This means that you CANNOT submit your project. Clear?
2. was created by someone whose project(s) have been on the front page already in the last six months (excluding Newest projects or Design Studio)
3. was shared less than 1 week ago
4. uses media (music, images, etc) from a commercial entity such as Nintendo, Sega, Disney, TV shows, movies, etc.
5. has received more than 10 love its already.
6. has violence including weapons, hurting animals or people
7. contains language inappropriate for all ages
8. is a copy of a commercial game or story, it's OK if it is inspired by though
9. has been on the front page already (excluding Newest projects or Design Studio)
10. doesn't work well online
Thanks!
I see...I'd propose my "Graph-a-Path" but now I won't submit since it was created by me, and it had something you were looking for too...

Nice job reading the guidelines! You are correct, you can not nominate your own projects. But you can ask your friends to nominate one of yours, if they agree that it is a superior project and worthy of the honor

hmm....
sorry if this has been said already i did not read all 40 pages of the forum but,
point 2 and 9 in the not to be featured bit by andresmh are slightly repetitive:
i think 9 is just a subpart of 2.

This is a simple looking game, however, as you progress through levels, they get trickier. The scripting is awesome, and as far as i can tell, no glitches. Aslo has an amazing storyling that is very unique. Please consider!

It can't be entered, as it has over 10 love-its. It has about 90 extra.

i would like to propose scratch paint 3.0 by werdna123 http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/werdna123/1254754 it has the basic tools of a real paint program, with ellipse, rectangle, and pen. plus, you can change the size of the pen, and choose from 400 colors. even though it is not yet a week old, i would like to propose it ahead of time, so that i don't forget. it works well online, except for the fact that the circle on the right should show the color that you are using, which only works when downloaded, but you can let that slide, right? ^^ i know there are like, a billion scratch paint programs, but i think this one is simply amazing. it only has 7 views and two comments (one of which is mine) and only one small love it given by me.
last time i proposed a project to be featured, it got in and i felt so happy for the person and proud of myself, and i hope that can happen again with this project!
i hope you'll consider featuring this project!

ok.... I just saw the newest featured project. All it is is art someone did and you go to the next picture by pressing space. It's very nice art, but is this really a feature-worthy project? I don't mean to be mean becaue the art is rather impressive. I just thought that features were for projects that people worked really hard on (in Scratch), not just uploading a few pictures and programming it to go to the next one when you press space.

does it exclude friends?

I have seen an absolutely wonderful scratcher, who's games I play for hours at a time. They are very cute and fun. The user is named, "Jasmidge." Her best projects are these:
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1253149 (If you want to feature it in a couple days)
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1250086 (Just on the edge of being able to be featured)
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1248991 (A short but loveable game)
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1230896
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1221978
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1227586
-Virtual Pet games that can be immediately featured
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Jasmidge/1243525
-a cute dog racing game.
These are all very wonderful games that I will definately nominate, especially because I love this user's games, and she is not as well-known as she should be.

I would like to propose "Burst Fire Gun" by Bisonic (http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Bisonic/198338). Simple and inspiring.
See, now I have a problem. I went and looked at this project and was very impressed. I wanted to put a "Love it" but then realized that if I did, I might make it no longer eligible for Featuring (see rule 5 in the ineligible list). I chose to interprete rule 5 as "no more than 5 love-its at the time of nomination". I would like to see rule 5 clarified in this respect.
Great idea having open nominations for Featured...and I like that you published the eligibility rules.
I believe that it's over 10 love-its, not 5.
