I installed scratch 1.2 (In a different file folder) so I could try Chirp. Then, whenever I startup opened a scratch file, it opened in 1.2 and 1.2 complained it had a bad header. So, I uninstalled 1.2. It sort of fixed the problem. BUT, whenever I try to startup open a scratch file, squeak asks me for an image file. So I use the scratch image file. Then, scratch opens, and it says the project opened, but it doesn't really. So, to open a scratch project, I have to open Scratch, navigate to the file, and then open it. It's REALLY annoying. Is there any way to fix it?

I've had a similar problem too. What I had to do is remove everything Scratch related (except projects) which means you have to make sure you delete the Scratch thumbs as well and then reinstall 1.4

I can't think of anything scratch related that I can delete other than scratch thumbs (not admin). I deleted all the scratchthumbs and reinstalled scratch and there's still the problem.

I had the same problem... I think you have to uninstall everything and then install 1.4
