As you all know, many animals are being treated inhumanely. Whenever I eat a piece of chicken and then think about what it had to go through in order to become my next meal, I sort of cringe, but I continue eating anyways.
First of all, people, I know some methods are disturbing, but that doesn't mean you should deprive yourself of meat. Animal rights organizations, like PETA, overreact about this and sometimes go overboard. Take for example, does anyone remember when they called out Obama for swatting a fly during an interview? Yep. That was them alright. Do you see how ridiculous it is?
Another thing, people killed animals for food back then, too. Why do you think they had spheres, knives, and daggers? They needed to hunt animals for their own survival, so they won't starve to death. Carnivorous animals, like lions and tigers, also depend on meat to survive. This means that they have to kill another animal. Now, I'm not saying we're animals, but, like lions and tigers and all of those other predators, we're living things, too, so let's keep that in mind.
In conclusion, I do believe our methods can go overboard, like in this video, but we still have to eat meat to survive. So, in other words, no matter how much PETA tries, I'm not going to stop eating meat. But, of course, let's remember not to avoid vegetables and all those other foods. Those are also a very important part of your diet.
