You want proof? I have 10 year old Macs at my school and they still run perfectly. Windows will last you 2 years then you will get a problem deep in your computer and you will never fix it.

PROOF AGAIN!  yikes  ITS SUCH A SHOCK!!!!!!!!!
My 6 year old windows PC went 2 years then got a windows registery error. Didnt let me download anything. Now after 4 more years I cant even install service pack one. Not to even mention the requirements you have to meet to install things. Apples never have incompatible software with all computers. Windows=Viruses every night Apples never gets them.

You should actually protect your computer. I've gotten rid of every virus I've ever gotten.
I've played Civ 4
Portal 2

Is protected.
But how long do you play those games at once?

I played portal 2 for hours after I got it.

Everyone loves Microsoft. Anyone who has been loyal to Microsoft for several years
ends up with 4000 dollars worth of old software that doesn't work, because they "upgrade" the operating system every 3 years. In my book that puts them right up there with the Mafia and.... oh never mind.

No one loves microsoft.  Especially not me.  Apple is the best imo, and google has pretty good stuff, and a better web browser than safari, along with a better word proccessor, cell proccessor, and a better photo browser.

My computer has never crashed once and I'm on a Windows

My first computer never crashed once either

it was Windows

Neither did my second

Anyways...

Linux>Windows>Mac

Explanation:

Linux- I go by the maker's code: If you can't open it, you don't own it.

Windows- Closed source, but plenty of support for programmers. Less safe from viruses than Macs though.

Mac- I've never used them outside of school. But the App Police has lost me a little respect for apple, squashing indie devs (and scratch  yikes  ).


@Veggieman: He can add Canonical, the company that makes Ubuntu.

Google.  I think that they could make a pretty awesome OS if they actually tried, rather than just the stupid Chrome OS thing.  I mean, if you want internet, just get an Apple or Windows or Linux compute and download Google Chrome.
