Steps on how to become a scratcher quicker-
1. Post about 20 posts a day. Make sure you have good spelling and they are constructive. Do not write "Cool" or "Lol" because those don't count. Try helping out in all sections including other languages. Go to Google Translate if you don't know the language.
2. Try posting a new project every 4 days or less. That will really help you. But make sure that they have good content in them.
3. Post friendly comments on the main site and help your fellow scratchers.
4. Never spam unless it is a good flavor of spam.
5. Don't ask or make topics/posts about becoming a scratcher. It will come if you follow these steps for at least a month.
6. Be patient.
Follow these steps and you can become a scratcher quicker.
Advantages of become a scratcher-
1. You get to post in the Miscelleneous section.
2. The 180 second rule turns into the 60 second rule.
3. You get to have a signature.
4. Your new scratcher status turns into a scratcher status.

You don't need 20 posts a day, 3 is probably good enough.
But 20 will make it go way quicker.
I had around about 50 posts when I became a Scratcher (1 month and 1 day), 50/30 is 1 2/3 posts a day

That might be because you are really active on the main site.

I have a question. Once you gain Scratcher status, can you lose it again?

No, I don't think so, but you can get banned (you can get banned as a new scratcher also). But to get banned you have to do something bad.

Actually, you can. I saw on the TBG once some people that did something bad get demoted to New Scratcher. But, that probably wouldn't happen here. On the main forums it's stricter
But good guide, JJRocker. Inspired by mine, no?

Yeah, and I was inspired by the 10 people a day begging for their Scratcher status
Can I add a link to yours in here?

Sure, why not.

Some people actually don't like using Google for other languages. It doesn't do so well.

Define a "good flavor" of spam. Spam isn't good.
Let's say there's a mario project. You could comment,
"Hey, great project! I like the movement. I made a project like this one, but I can't make Mario jump well-Any suggestions? The project is (link). Thanks "
Or
"Hey, great project! I made on like this. Could you check it out? It's here: (Link). Feedback appreciated "
Stuff like that. I don't like it myself, nor do I do it, but it's fine for people that want attention. It shouldn't happen when the people aren't Scratch-friends or if the projects are different types (For example, on a mario game posting a random airplane simulator).

Great examples Death_Wish! You're really good at explaining things.
