No green flag or stop sign

It doesn't look professional. I love game making on scratch, but I want my game to look as professional as possible. Instead of saying when flag clicked Maybe just do when game starts and the game starts automatically when it's open on the browser. Please reply because for the time being I'm switching to yoyo games game maker lite.

That's how you control the project though...

But Scratch shouldn't be looking professional, it's only an educational tool. If you plan on making more "professional" games, you should move on once you've learned enough on Scratch.

If you want to make your game look professional, try out flash.

Re: No green flag or stop sign

If you want professional-looking games, don't go to Yo-Yo Games nor Scratch. Go to Stencyl, it's the best free flash easy-to-use programming program (In my opinion).
And bobbybobs, why did you post a link to this thread? xD

Re: No green flag or stop sign

Scratch isn't the right community for asking stencyl questions, however, we maybe a little more friendly. But the right place would be Misc, where you can't post until you reach the New Scratcher status.
So for the time being, you should go on that community or ask someone personally.

By the way, you have to go to behaviors, find the category you want, then make a new behavior. Choose "Design Mode", not "Code Mode" and the blocks will appear. I personally think you should learn Scratch completely first, because Stencyl is a little hard even for me.

Re: No green flag or stop sign

It would look much better if the flag/stop sign bar would fade out or hide when not something special pressed or (if mouse y > y of site + bar height)

You mean Scratcher status.  tongue

How about having an option to hide or show them?  smile

For once, i agree with the bee.

Scratch is for 4 year olds. it's not like blender where you have to have a college degree to make a circle.

Well, actually Scratch can be for 4 year olds. It can also be for 40 year olds.

And I'm not quite intending to be a bee. I'm intending to be the initials K.B. (although that is not my name)

Re: No green flag or stop sign

Stencyl isn't what I want because every actors' script is seperated with different variables and It's half drag and drop. And I meant Scratch COULD be more professional looking because it is so easy to make things with it. I'm gonna keep using scratch for a while, then try alice. If you guys have any suggestions about any other programs please tell

But scratch SHOULDN'T be more professional looking, for it's just a kid's game, basically.

Re: No green flag or stop sign

This isn't a complete game development enviornment or interactive development environment.
Or a coding language. It's Scratch.

Then stop complaining it doesn't look professional. It doesn't look professional because it's not professional.

Re: No green flag or stop sign

go to yoyo games - game maker 8 lite or you can get game maker 8 pro free online. They combine drag and drop, and coding to make games, it also alows proper applications to be made. If good enough yoyo games will publish it on android and apple app store.

If you don't like it, you don't have to use it.

Scratch is an educational tool. It's not meant to look professional.
