Re: About that "New Scratcher" Status...

With me it was that bad, I had 4 posts and I had been on for 3 months. The thing that did it was probably me uploading masses of projects in one go. 4 in 2 days

If you didn't have three or more projects after three months, then yeah, that's why you weren't upgraded.

Re: About that "New Scratcher" Status...

Someone found the PHP or whatever code once and leaked it though, and in it was the requirements.

Wait, they're secret? So I'm breaking the rules by saying...? Oops.

Re: About that "New Scratcher" Status...

Hello!
As you know, I have joined Scratch today in hope of huge progress in my programming. I have not been programming in months, seeing as I have been so occupied. I did not program on Scratch though, but I hope I will find a true skill with programming using Scratch. Thank-You everyone for helping me settle in.

Re: About that "New Scratcher" Status...

I really like the Scratch project. The Scratcher rank system seems to be useful and effective as I haven't seen any bad comments here.

I've been on Scratch a long time (just not the forums) - I think that must be why.

Oh yeah, I have lots of projects.

Well, main site activity counts much more than forum posts. It's very easy to get Scratch status with only a handful of forum posts if you're already active on the main site a lot.  smile

Re: About that "New Scratcher" Status...

Great guide! (Did I post that before?)  tongue  I only had 2 posts give or take and I became a Scratcher. What's more, I only had 2 projects at that time. The first project had 500+ views though.  big_smile

Re: About that "New Scratcher" Status...

By the way, I'm wondering...

Should the Scratch moderators view the posted projects, and check for script maturity e.g. advanced scripts, replacing broadcasts with variables, stuff like that

Can a New Scratcher become a Scratcher by posting advanced projects and stuff instead of community posts?

It's automatic, you can become one with general activity on both the main site and the forums, and uploading least three projects.
Also, to become a Scratcher, you must have registered for at least one month.
