Translating the blocks

Hello!

I think Scratch will be very interesting for my kids. How can I help translate the blocks text to Swedish?

best regards,
Vlad

Re: Translating the blocks

Hi, Vlad. Thank you for your offer to translate Scratch into Swedish. As you probably know, only the command blocks are currently translated. Other parts of the UI--menus, buttons, dialogs, etc.--remain in English.

The translation process is quite easy. I have send you an email with instructions. If you do not get it within a day or so, contact me using the "contact us" link below.

Re: Translating the blocks

Hi johnm!

I'm also interesting in translation - but in Ukrainian & Russian.
What about support of cyrillic alphabet/encoding?
If OK, send me, please, email with instructions.

best regards,
kurgus

Re: Translating the blocks

Hi, Kurgus. Unfortunately, as you guessed, Scratch does not yet handle the cyrillic alphabet. We'll be working over the next year to add support for Unicode and "world scripts" but it's a big job... Once we have the underlying support I would welcome your help with a Russian translation.
